The Climate Action Plan for the Chicago Region is built on a solid
foundation of work by the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus (Caucus) to lead local and regional climate action. We have begun the decisive
decade: climate action must reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and we must adapt equitably to changes that are inevitable. This plan for the Chicago metropolitan region—one of the first regional climate plans in the United States—is our call to action. We will address global and local climate challenges via municipal leadership.
